Oldie here. I'm standing in the bedroom doorway, and let me tell you, it's been quite a ride. I've seen some things in my day, but nothing quite like this. You see, I'm an oldie with a lot of miles on me, but that doesn't mean I don't have a story to tell.
I was born during the Great Depression, and let me tell you, it wasn't easy. My parents struggled to make ends meet, but we always had enough to eat, even if it meant going without other things. I learned early on how to stretch a dollar, which has served me well throughout my life.
As I got older, I became involved in the women's movement, fighting for equal rights and opportunities for all women. It was a difficult fight, but one that paid off in the end. I met my husband during those years, and we raised two wonderful children together.
But even after all of that, I never imagined myself becoming a grandmother. When my daughter announced she was pregnant with her first child, I was shocked - but also incredibly excited. Now, here I am, standing in the bedroom doorway and giving private tutoring to a young lady who needs some help with sex ed.
It's been an interesting journey, but one that has taught me more than I ever could have imagined. And now, as I stand here and lift my skirt for this young lady, I can only hope that I'm passing on the knowledge and wisdom that I've gained over my long life to someone who can use it.
