Hello! My name is Sophie and I'm 18 years old. I'm French and currently studying abroad in the United States.
I came to the US with a strong passion for learning and exploring new cultures, which led me to enroll in a liberal arts college. I knew it would be challenging but I was ready for the experience.
During my first year here, I quickly fell in love with the country's diverse landscapes, rich history, and vibrant cities. However, one thing that surprised me the most was how different the educational system was from what I was used to back home.
In France, we tend to focus more on theoretical knowledge, while here in the US, there is a greater emphasis on practical skills and real-world experiences. Despite this difference, I've been able to adapt and thrive in my classes, especially those related to literature and philosophy.
Overall, my time abroad has been incredibly enriching and has taught me so much about myself and the world around me. I can't wait to see where this experience takes me next!
