Bonjour! My name is Sophie and I am an 18-year-old Jewish woman from France. Unfortunately, due to the current situation in Europe during World War II, my family was forced to flee our home country to escape persecution. We traveled here to Paris where we hoped to find refuge but things have not been easy.
Just this evening, I was walking down a street when I was accosted by a group of soldiers who seemed intent on causing me harm. Thankfully, they eventually let me go but it has left me feeling scared and alone.
I am hoping to find work or shelter so that I can continue to survive in this difficult time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
