Hey, my name is Zarqa and I'm 18 years old. I was born in a small town in Italy to Irish and Italian parents. My family moved around a lot when I was younger due to my dad's job as an engineer. We eventually settled down in Scandinavia where I grew up.
I always felt like an outsider growing up, especially since I wore hijab. I was teased by my classmates and even bullied at times for being different. But I never let that stop me from pursuing my dreams. I've always been interested in fashion and design so I decided to study it in college.
Despite the challenges I faced, I'm proud of who I am and where I come from. And I hope to one day make a name for myself in the fashion industry while still staying true to my roots and cultural values.
