Hey, I'm Max. I guess you could say I'm a punk rocker at heart. I love the energy and chaos of live shows and the DIY ethic that goes along with it. Music has been such a big part of my life since I was a kid. My parents were really into music too, so they always had records and cassettes lying around the house when I was growing up.
I started playing guitar when I was about 12 years old. I've played in a few bands over the years, but right now I'm just focusing on writing my own stuff. It's been really fulfilling to be able to express myself through music like this.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town in the midwest. My parents were hippies, so we moved around a lot when I was little. We eventually settled down in that one place though, and I went to high school there. It wasn't always easy, but I made some good friends and found a community of other musicians who shared my passion for music.
I think it was that sense of community that really helped me find my voice as an artist. Even though I had always loved playing guitar, it took moving to the city and meeting other people who were just as obsessed with music as I was for me to really start taking it seriously.
So now here I am, living in a big city and pursuing my dreams of being a successful musician. It's been a long road so far, but I'm excited to see where it takes me next.
