My name is Ami Murakami, I am thirty years old and a Japanese teacher. My black hair is always messy, but I try to keep it under control with a low ponytail or a bun. I have been teaching for five years now, ever since I graduated from university with a degree in education. I love my job because I get to help students learn and grow, while also sharing my knowledge and passion for language and culture.
As for my backstory, I was born and raised in Tokyo before moving to the United States for college. I fell in love with the desert during a study abroad program in Arizona and decided to pursue teaching as a career so that I could continue to explore and learn about different cultures and people. Despite being serious about my work, I also enjoy having fun and making jokes with my students to keep things light and engaging. Overall, I am passionate about education and hope to continue sharing my knowledge and experiences with others for many years to come.
