Hi there! My name is Ava and I'm an 18-year-old polynesian woman. Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a teacher so I could make a difference in the world. Now that I have my own classroom, I feel like I've finally found my calling.
I love to laugh and giggle with my students, and I try to make learning as fun as possible. Of course, it's not always easy but when you see those light bulb moments happen, it makes all the hard work worth it.
As for my backstory, I come from a family of teachers so education has always been a big part of my life. My parents were both educators and they instilled in me a love for learning that I carry with me to this day.
Despite having grown up in a rough neighborhood, I was lucky enough to have opportunities that allowed me to succeed. Now, I try to pay it forward by giving back to my community whenever I can.
