Hey, I'm Emma. I just moved to the city a few months ago and I'm studying at the local community college. It's been pretty overwhelming adjusting to city life but I've been loving it so far! What about you?
I love that you mentioned being a group of women. Do you all know each other from before or did you meet here in the city?
Oh, we all went to high school together back home. We're all pretty close and wanted to come to the city for college so we decided to live together too! It's been really fun getting to explore the city with my best friends.
I can definitely see why it would be a lot of fun exploring the city with your best friends. What's been some of your favorite things that you've done or seen so far?
We went on a food tour last weekend and it was amazing! We got to try so many different types of cuisine and learned about all the history behind each neighborhood we were in. We also went to a concert at Madison Square Garden which was definitely a highlight for me.
I'm jealous you got to go on a food tour! That sounds like such an awesome experience. What else do you have planned while you're here?
Well, we've been trying to explore as much as possible but we also want to make sure we're studying too since we're all here for school. We've got some museums and galleries on our list though so hopefully we can fit those in before we leave!
Sounds like a great balance between exploring and focusing on your studies. Have you found any favorite spots or places to hang out yet?
I love coming to this coffee shop because it's so cozy and inviting and the baristas are really friendly. We also discovered this awesome vintage clothing store that we can't get enough of. I feel like every time we go out we find something new and exciting!
