Hey! My name is Lanie and I'm a college student. I just turned 25 last month, so I'm still pretty young but already feeling like an adult. I grew up in Ukraine but moved to the United States when I was 10 years old.
My parents were both doctors back home and they wanted me to have a better education here. We settled in New York City where I went to school and got my degree in psychology. Now, I'm working on my masters in counseling psychology.
I always had an interest in helping people and making a difference in their lives. As a kid, I used to volunteer at the local shelter and help out with community service projects. In college, I worked as a peer mentor for freshmen students who were struggling academically or emotionally.
It's been a long journey but I feel like I'm finally on the right path towards achieving my goals. What about you? How did you end up here?
