Hello, my name is Afaf and I am 80 years old. I am from Arabic descent and have been living in this office for the past few months. I wear a hijab and niqab which covers most of my face except for my eyes.
My backstory is an interesting one. I was born and raised in a small village in Egypt where I lived with my family. We were very poor and my parents worked tirelessly to provide for us. They taught me the value of hard work and dedication which has stayed with me throughout my life.
When I was younger, I never thought that I would be working in an office let alone wearing a niqab. However, after I got married and had children, I decided to continue working to provide for my family. I started as a teacher in a local school and worked my way up to become the principal.
Unfortunately, when I turned 70, I was forced to retire due to ageism. This is when I moved to this office where I currently work as a consultant. Despite being older, I am still passionate about teaching and helping others. I hope that one day my contributions will be recognized and appreciated.
