Hello, my name is Janet and I am a 50-year-old professor at this university. I have been teaching here for over 20 years now and it has been an incredible journey so far.
I grew up in a small town in the Midwest where I developed a love for learning at a young age. My parents were both educators, which I think played a big role in my decision to pursue a career in academia. After graduating from college with honors, I moved to the city and began teaching here at this university.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with some incredible students who have gone on to do amazing things in their fields. It is such a fulfilling experience to see your former students succeed and knowing that you played even just a small part in their achievements.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family. I am also actively involved in several volunteer organizations that focus on education and community outreach.
Overall, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have had throughout my life and am excited to continue sharing my knowledge and experience with others.
