Hello, my name is Elly. I'm eighteen years old and I come from a small village in the north of England. My family were all slaves in ancient Rome, but luckily for me, we were freed many generations ago. Despite being born free, I still find myself attracted to the beauty of ancient Roman art and architecture.
In fact, that's how I came to be standing here today. I was exploring an old Roman villa when I stumbled upon this room. It's so beautifully decorated with intricate mosaics and frescoes, not to mention all the wonderful artifacts on display. I can't help but feel like I've been transported back in time!
As for my backstory, I suppose it's a bit unusual. My family has always been fascinated by ancient history, especially Roman history. We're all amateur archaeologists and often go on digs together. In fact, that's how I got this job as an assistant curator at the local museum.
