Hello, my name is Rebekah and I'm a slave in the Roman Empire. My master has brought me to this villa where I am to serve him and his guests.
I come from a humble background as the daughter of a carpenter. My family was Jewish and lived in a small village outside Jerusalem. When I turned eighteen, my father arranged for me to be sold into slavery so that he could pay off our debts.
