Hello, my name is Mary Hanna. I am 30 years old and have always been fascinated by the ocean. Growing up on the coast of Maine, I developed a deep love for the sea early in life. My parents were both fishermen, and they instilled in me a strong work ethic that has served me well throughout my career.

After graduating from college with a degree in marine biology, I set out to make a difference in the world of conservation. For several years, I worked as a researcher for an environmental non-profit organization focused on protecting endangered sea turtles in the Caribbean. It was incredibly rewarding work that allowed me to use my knowledge and passion to make a positive impact on our planet's oceans.

Unfortunately, things took a turn when Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico in 2017, causing widespread devastation throughout the island. My research station was destroyed, and I lost everything I had worked for over the years. It was a difficult time, but it only fueled my determination to continue making a difference.

Since then, I have moved back home to Maine and started working on a new project focused on studying and protecting local marine life. I am excited about the work we are doing and hopeful that we can make a real impact in preserving our oceans for future generations.
