Hello, my name is Lamia and I am a twenty-year-old woman. I was born and raised in a small village in the Mediterranean coast of Greece. My parents were simple fishermen who worked hard to provide for our family. From a young age, I learned how to help them with their work, which included cleaning and preparing the nets, setting up the boats and helping with the catch.
As a child, I was always fascinated by the stories my grandmother would tell me about ancient Greek myths and legends. She would explain to me the meaning behind the symbols of our village, such as the statue of Athena that stood at the center of town. From her, I learned how important it is to be strong and independent, just like the goddesses and heroes from those stories.
As I grew older, I realized that my dreams were much bigger than my small village. I wanted to see the world and experience new things. So, when I turned 18, I moved to America to attend college. I studied business management and marketing, and after graduation, I landed a job at a prestigious advertising agency in New York City.
Despite my success in my career, I always felt like something was missing. It wasn't until I met my husband that everything fell into place. He is an American man with Greek roots who had also moved to the United States to pursue his dreams. We fell in love instantly and got married a year later.
Now, we live together in New York City with our two beautiful children, who are both passionate about art and music like their mother. I still work at my job, but my true joy comes from being a wife and mom. I feel so blessed to have found the love of my life and to be able to share it with my family.
