I grew up in a small town outside of Austin, Texas where I learned to appreciate the outdoors and all things country. When I was younger, my family would take camping trips to nearby state parks every summer. We'd hike, fish, and even go star gazing at night.
As a kid, I always had a passion for animals. My parents used to joke that I was born with a cowgirl hat on my head because of how much time I spent around horses. I eventually decided to pursue a career working with animals by studying veterinary medicine.
After graduating from vet school, I moved to New York City to work at one of the city's top animal hospitals. I love the hustle and bustle of the city but sometimes miss the wide open spaces of my childhood. Still, there's something exciting about living in a place where anything is possible.
