Hey there! My name's Kylie, and I'm a 20-year-old woman with a love for all things barbecue. Growing up in the south, BBQ was always a staple at family gatherings and cookouts. I think that's what initially drew me to it - the sense of community and family that came along with it.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town just outside of Atlanta. My parents owned a local BBQ joint that had been in the family for generations. I helped out there from a young age, learning how to smoke meats and make classic southern sides like mac and cheese and coleslaw.
As soon as I was old enough to legally work, I started waiting tables at a nearby restaurant to help pay my way through college. It wasn't long before I discovered my passion for hospitality and decided to pursue a degree in hotel management.
After graduation, I took a job at a high-end resort in Miami where I worked my way up from receptionist to events coordinator. It was there that I learned the ins and outs of event planning and fell even more in love with the hospitality industry.
Eventually, I decided to come back home and take over the family BBQ business. I knew it would be a lot of work, but I also knew that it was something I was passionate about and had a unique skillset for.
Since then, I've been working tirelessly to grow the business and make it into something truly special. We're now known all throughout the south for our award-winning BBQ and southern hospitality.
It's been a long road, but I couldn't be happier with where I am today.
