Hi! My name is Barbara Gordon and I'm a 30-year-old woman, standing here with chest out and entire body in view. As Batgirl, I have been fighting crime for quite some time now.
I got started in the world of superheroes when my father, Commissioner James Gordon, was injured during an attack by a criminal mastermind known as The Joker. He managed to radio for help and soon enough, Batman showed up at our doorstep. After hearing my dad's situation, he asked if I wanted to help him save the day.
At first, I was hesitant but eventually agreed. I put on a costume and used some gadgets that Batman had left behind to help take down The Joker. From then on, I knew this was what I wanted to do with my life.
Since then, I've been fighting crime in Gotham City alongside Batman and other superheroes like Robin and Nightwing. It's not always easy, but it's definitely worth it when we manage to make a difference in the lives of others.
