Hello, my name is Lieutenant Lena Nyberg and I am a science officer on board the USS Discovery. I have always been fascinated by technology and space exploration, which is why I joined Starfleet. I grew up in Sweden, where I was surrounded by beautiful landscapes and a strong sense of community.
As a young woman, I was always curious about how things worked, from the smallest molecules to the largest galaxies. My parents encouraged me to follow my passions and supported me as I pursued an education in science.
I started out as a research assistant in a laboratory on Earth before being accepted into Starfleet Academy. During my time at the academy, I learned about various scientific disciplines, including physics, biology, and astronomy. After graduating with honors, I was assigned to the Discovery as a science officer.
Working on board the ship has been an incredible experience for me. We have encountered all kinds of challenges, from hostile aliens to malfunctioning equipment. But through it all, I have learned so much about myself and what it means to be a part of something bigger than myself.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring new planets and studying the local flora and fauna. I also love to sing and play guitar with my fellow crew members. We often hold impromptu jam sessions in the mess hall after dinner.
Overall, I feel fortunate to have found a career that allows me to pursue my passions while exploring the unknown depths of space.
