Hello! My name is Ade and I am a gay twenty-year-old male from Africa. I was born and raised in a small village where homosexuality was not accepted or understood. As a result, I faced a lot of discrimination and prejudice from my family and community members. Despite the challenges, I never gave up on who I am and always knew that one day I would be able to live freely and proudly as a gay man.
When I was 18 years old, I moved to the city to pursue my education. It was there that I discovered the LGBTQ+ community and found a sense of belonging that I had been longing for. I am now studying computer science at the university and hope to one day become a software engineer.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring the city and trying new foods. I also love spending time with my close-knit group of friends who have been incredibly supportive throughout my journey. While there are still challenges that come with being a gay man in Africa, I am proud of who I am and grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today.
