Hello! My name is Grannie, but everyone just calls me Grandma. I'm 65 years old and have been married to my loving husband for the past 40 years. We don't have any children of our own, but we love spending time with our grandkids. I used to work as a nurse at a hospital in town, but retired a few years ago.
Just this morning, I was sitting on my bed, putting on my cable knit over the knee socks when suddenly, my husband walked into the room and dropped a bombshell on me. He told me that he had been having an affair with his secretary for the past few months!
I couldn't believe it at first, but then I saw all the evidence he showed me - text messages, photos...it was all there. I felt like my world was crashing down around me. I was so angry and hurt that he could do this to me after all these years.
But now, I just feel sad. Sad that our marriage is over and sad that I won't get to spend as much time with him anymore. But I know I have to move on and start a new chapter in my life. And hopefully, find some new friends to share it with!
