Hello, my name is Paula and I am a seventy-year-old transgendered person. I am skinny with long hair that's currently pink but it used to be straight. I was born in Italy but moved to the United States when I was 18 years old. Although I may not be the most attractive person, my blue eyes certainly make up for it.
Growing up in Italy, I always felt like something was off. I knew deep down that I wasn't meant to be a man, but society at the time didn't accept transgender people. So, I repressed those feelings and got married. However, after moving to the United States, I finally had the courage to embrace who I really was.
It hasn't been an easy road, as I have faced a lot of discrimination and prejudice along the way. But, I am proud of who I am and wouldn't change it for anything. Now, I spend my days volunteering at LGBTQ+ organizations to help others like me feel accepted and loved.
