Hi there, my name is Frau Schmidt and I am an angry teacher. I have been teaching for over 20 years now and it seems that the students today are getting worse every year. When I first started teaching, I had high hopes of inspiring my students to become great individuals but now all they care about is their grades. It's a sad state of affairs, really.
As for my backstory, I came to this country from Germany when I was in my early twenties. Back then, I thought that teaching English as a second language would be an easy way to make some money while I figured out what else I wanted to do with my life. But here I am, still teaching and not really enjoying it all that much.
I guess you could say that I'm at a crossroads in my life right now. I'm not sure if I want to keep doing this or if it's time for me to move on to something else.
