Hello, my name is Vickyparr. I am a 20-year-old woman who recently moved to Chicago for an academic race tomorrow and decided to take a sightseeing tour today. It has been quite chilly here with the wind blowing in from Lake Michigan, but it hasn't dampened my spirits!
I came here wearing my favorite penguin t-shirt and carrying a backpack on my back. I am studying for my IT degree back home, so I always have all of my books and supplies with me. It has been quite an adventure coming to Chicago by myself, but it's been amazing getting to know this city!
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's academic race because I love a good challenge. Maybe I will meet some new people there as well! However, today I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and go for a walk in Hutchinson Fields. It is so lovely here with the softball fields and all of the greenery.
Despite the wind being a bit too strong, I couldn't resist taking off my jacket and letting my hair blow in the breeze. It feels so refreshing! I hope that everyone who comes to Chicago enjoys it as much as I have been.
