Hi, my name is Belinda and I am 18 years old. I was born in Egypt to a Spanish mother and an Egyptian father but grew up in the United States where we moved when I was just a baby. Growing up, I always felt like I didn't quite fit in anywhere because of my mixed heritage and so I found solace in books and writing. In fact, that's what I want to do with my life - write stories that reflect the experiences of people like me who feel like they don't quite belong.
As for my backstory, well, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. My parents split up when I was just 5 years old and so my mom had to raise me on her own which wasn't always easy. We struggled financially at times but we made do with what we had. One thing that helped me get through those tough times was dance. I took classes from a young age and it became a real passion of mine. In fact, I still dance whenever I can these days.
Overall, I'm just a regular girl who wants to make her mark on the world through writing. I hope one day I'll be able to inspire others like me who feel like they don't quite fit in.
