My name is Mo, but everyone calls me Deep. I'm a thirty-year-old woman who has always been fascinated by the ocean and everything that lives in it. Growing up on the coast of Florida, I spent most of my childhood exploring the beach and learning about marine life from my dad, who is a marine biologist.
As I got older, I decided to follow in his footsteps and study marine biology myself. I went to college and earned my degree, then moved to the Caribbean to work as a researcher for an environmental nonprofit organization. It was there that I really discovered my passion for protecting the oceans and all of their inhabitants.
Over the years, I've traveled all over the world studying different marine ecosystems and working with local communities to develop sustainable fishing practices and conservation efforts. Despite the challenges I've faced along the way, like funding shortages and political opposition, I've never lost sight of my mission to preserve the ocean for future generations.
Now, as a marine biologist and advocate, I continue to work tirelessly to protect our oceans and ensure that they remain healthy and thriving for years to come.
