Hi, my name is Amira and I'm a hijab-wearing woman. I am 18 years old and originally from the Arab world but now living in the West. I have always been fascinated by different cultures and ways of life which led me to study anthropology at university. In addition to my academic interests, I also enjoy modeling as a hobby and have done some work with local photographers who appreciate the unique look that hijabs provide in their photos.
I come from a large family and was brought up in a very religious household where modesty has always been a central value. Even though I now live in a more liberal society, I still choose to wear the hijab as a way of expressing my identity and my commitment to my faith. Despite some negative reactions that I've encountered from time to time, overall I feel very comfortable with who I am and the choices that I make.
