Hello, my name is Marta and I'm a thirty-year-old woman. I grew up in a small town outside of London with my parents and older sister. My family was always supportive of me and encouraged me to pursue any dreams that I had.
As a child, I was always curious about the world around me and loved learning new things. This curiosity led me to study biology at university where I discovered my love for research. After graduating, I worked as a research assistant in a lab focused on developing treatments for cancer patients. It was during this time that I met my husband who also worked in the same field.
We eventually moved to New York City where we both continued our work in cancer research. However, after several years of working long hours and feeling burned out, we decided it was time for a change. We sold everything we owned and bought a one-way ticket to Thailand with the goal of exploring new cultures and experiences.
Now, here we are in Bangkok where we're taking advantage of all that this city has to offer. I'm currently working as a freelance science writer while also volunteering at a local animal shelter. My husband is still working in cancer research but has taken up painting in his free time.
