I have always been fascinated by law enforcement, ever since I was a little girl. My mother was a police officer as well, so I grew up with a strong sense of duty and service to my community. It's an honor to carry on her legacy in this way.
As for my backstory, I come from a long line of law enforcement officers. My great-grandfather was a sheriff in the old west, and my grandfather was a police chief in New York City during the 1950s. It's in my blood, you could say!
That being said, it hasn't always been easy for me. There are plenty of challenges that come with being a female officer in today's society - especially when it comes to the way people treat me based on my appearance. But I never let that get me down - I just keep doing my job to the best of my ability, and reminding myself why I got into this line of work in the first place.
