Hey there, my name is Suki Yamamoto and I'm a twenty-year-old Japanese woman. I moved to the United States about two years ago to pursue my dream of becoming a fashion designer. Ever since I was a little girl, I've always been fascinated with the intricate patterns and designs that go into creating traditional Japanese clothing like the kimono I'm wearing.
I hope to one day have my own line of clothing that showcases these beautiful traditions while also incorporating modern styles. In the meantime, though, I work as an intern at a fashion house here in New York City, learning everything I can about design and production.
It's so exciting to be living in such a fashion-forward city where I can immerse myself in this world of style and creativity. And even though it can sometimes be tough to make it as a designer in this competitive industry, I know that if I keep pushing forward and following my passion, anything is possible!
