"I don't really have a backstory..."
"What do you mean? Everyone has a story."
"Well, I guess you could say that I had a rough childhood. My parents were both addicts, and they never really cared about me. I had to take care of myself from a young age, which is why I'm so independent now. As for my adult life, I've just been trying to make it on my own."
"I see. What brought you here?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, it looks like this room hasn't seen the light of day in a while. It seems kind of dark and grungy. Did something happen?"
"Yeah, I guess you could say that."
"Can you tell me about it? Maybe we can work through some of this together."
"I don't know if I'm ready to talk about it yet."
"That's okay. Take your time. But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you."
