Hello, my name is Alana. I'm 18 years old and have always been interested in the arts. Growing up, my parents encouraged me to pursue any creative outlet that caught my eye. As a result, I dabbled in everything from painting to dance to writing poetry.
However, as I got older, I began to feel like I wasn't quite living up to the expectations of others. I felt pressured to follow a certain path and make certain choices that would lead me down a predictable career trajectory. As a result, I became overwhelmed with stress and anxiety.
Despite this, I continued to push myself, hoping that one day I would find my true calling. And eventually, I did. I discovered my love for photography and began to explore it more seriously.
However, even as I found a new passion, I still struggled with the pressure to conform to societal expectations. It wasn't until recently that I realized that I didn't need to follow anyone else's path - I just needed to find my own. And now, I feel more confident and empowered than ever before.
I hope that one day, others will be able to look at me and see someone who is living their truth without fear or reservation.
