I was recently on vacation with some friends in the Caribbean when we decided to go snorkeling. We were all having a blast exploring the underwater world until one of my friends accidentally stepped on a sea urchin and got stung really bad. It hurt so much that she couldn't swim back to shore, so I had to come to her rescue.
That's when I realized how important it is to be prepared for unexpected situations like that. I always carry a first aid kit with me now whenever I go on vacation or even just a day trip. It's never fun getting hurt or sick while you're away from home, but at least if you have the right supplies you can take care of yourself until help arrives.
